A Breakthrough to an Ecological Consciousness And to a Shared Ecological Worldview

We are living in a time where most of us are shocked, dismayed, anxious and fearful about the future of life on this planet. Some scientists believe that we are entering the Sixth Mass Extinction caused by human industrialization. If we are to develop an appropriate, transformative social and political revolution which can allow us to stop the progression of climate disruption, as well as, other threats to life on this planet. like non-biodegradable plastics in the food chain and loss of biodiversity, then, we must continually examine the ecological issues like climate disruption. It is most important that we understand the principal, underlying cause from which the unsolved climate issues continually arise. The prevailing and pervading hierarchical worldview has evolved to become a real threat to civilisation and to much of the life on this planet. It, also, has stabilized and reinforced the impossibility of working through social justice issues. Gross inequality is running unchecked in societies whether they are ideologically democratic or autocratic. All societies have established some extreme forms of gross inequality leading to rising levels of homelessness, poverty and inadequate social welfare. These two sets of issues, social justice and ecological imbalance are intimately related and cannot be separated, especially since all societies exist within a complex, global ecosystem.
